Brotherhood - Building Lifelong Bonds

The Phi Delta Chi Brotherhood Committee is here to make sure you have a little fun and stay sane, even when school gets rough! Thier first and foremost priority is to preserve the friendly, close-knit community feel that our organization is known for throughout the College of Pharmacy. We plan and host rush events, game nights, group outings to fun locations such as SkyZone or the local cider mill, tailgates, and much more.  We also organize important traditional events for the Alpha Chapter such as the annual Lineage Cook-off and the Fall and Winter Retreats. Although we may sometimes seem like all fun and games, the Brotherhood Committee is an important component of our organization; we bring brothers together to foster a supportive and fun community environment.

Some of the big events planned by the Brotherhood Committee each year include:

Barn Dance

We kick off our year with the pledge-organized Barn Dance in the fall! It's a great opportunity for pledges to meet Brothers, and for everyone to catch up, have a great time, and get excited for the year to come! Cowboy/cowgirl attire is strongly encouraged but not required.

Winter Retreat

Each year Phi Delta Chi ventures off to a location of popular choice in Michigan for a weekend of winter fun. Favorite locations include Grand Rapids and Traverse City, and the trip usually includes such outings as skiing, wine tasting, dining out, and last year, we can even hit the casino! This is a chance for the newly initiated to bond with the chapter for the first time as brothers, and is looked back upon with fond memories for all.

Lineage Cook-off

Near the end of each academic year we gather for the annual lineage cook-off. Lineages make appetizers, main courses, and desserts and faculty judges and the best dishes earn a special coveted-after Phi Delta Chi prize! Every single dish last year was amazing and everyone left in a food coma. This event serves as an opportunity to say our final goodbyes to the graduating P4's and show appreciation for our lineage members.
