Professionalism

The Professionalism Committee aims to expand the opportunities for brothers to grow as health professionals on-campus as well as in the local community by planning health presentations, coordinating panels, and hosting professional speakers from various pharmaceutical backgrounds. The committee works hard all year to plan a variety of events that offer professional development opportunities for brothers and members of the pharmacy community.  The Professionalism Committee offers committee members ample opportunities for leadership and to partake in events, as well as working alongside faculty preceptors to plan events.

Some events the committee plans during the year include: a speaker series open to the entire College, a presentation titled Take Your Pills, Save Your Bills at senior living communities explaining the seriousness of medication adherence to senior citizens as well as noting the importance of building a strong relationship with their pharmacist, and a presentation focusing on Spring Break Awareness given to University of Michigan students focusing on ways to stay healthy and safe during spring break. The next few years look increasingly bright as the committee plans another speaker series, health related poster presentations, and workshops focusing on professional development.
